The room was tiny and hard to maneuver with more than 4 people in there. My one disappointment was the complimentary breakfast. It was very quiet and peaceful night of comfortable sleep. For $30 more we booked a traditional Premium Suite, which was renovated. This wasn't my first choice for a hotel in this area but since the room came with Great Escape tickets, water park tix and free parking, we decided to stay here. Was a great overall experience, we would come back but it won't be for the good night's sleep! It's also a short drive to outlets shopping and Lake George. The breakfasts at the hotel and Jonny Rockets were actually very quick and decent. The hotel is an easy walk to 6 flags so you can come and go without wasting much time or paying for parking, making it incredibly convenient. Great weather backup plan for the theme park. The indoor water park was a big hit for the kids (and parents) especially during the thunderstorm when 6 flags rides were closed. On the plus side, the room itself was large and clean, ours had 2 queens and pullout. Our friends, also a family of four staying in another room that same weekend said the same thing. The sheets didn't seem to fit well either. Although it was clean, the carpet looked like it had more than its share of spills, stains and carpet cleaning over the years and the beds was creaky and with a spongy type mattress you sink into that was hot for sleeping. We found our room to be just "ok" for the amount money. The hotel overall is nice and has a fun western decor throughout. I found this an affordable trip with lots to do in the area. I would not want to be there if the hotel was full as the water park was some what small and if overcrowded would not be enjoyable. Over all we would go back on an off season. There was an issue with the sink but that didn't happen until right before check out so we let the front desk know. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. The room was ready about 3:30 when we checked, again no line at all! We spent several more hours after dinner in the water park. We didn't eat at the lodge so I cant elaborate on that. Went to the arcade the kids enjoyed that as well. there were plenty of towels and the staff in the water park were helpful and friendly. The kids (6 and 10) were entertained for 2 hours straight. Our room was not ready but we werent expecting to be we got our wrist bands and went right to the water park. Checked in at 12:00 with no problem no crowd or line to wait in.
